Happy Birthday to me.  I'm 24 today.  eeep How time flies.  I still feel 18.    *shrugs

Merry Christmas to everybody out there.  I was going to put up a tree this year but was afraid my naughty puppy would attack it.  ha ha  Hung stockings, a peppermint candle and a wreath are the only signs of Christmas in the house.

Not flying home this year.  I think this will be only the 2nd time I've never had a white Christmas.  Fresh snow on the ground is so pretty at night.

Merry Christmas Ho Ho Ho

So it's been 6 months since I've sprained my right ankle.  The darn thing still hasn't healed.  First it was sprained, then it had a closed fracture so had to wear the awesome storm trooper air cast boot for several months.  I then had an MRI scan and the foot was diagnosed with tendinitis so a real cast got put on it and have been on crutches for a few weeks now.  The cast is supposed to come off next week Monday.  I really don't think the foot has healed.  The Doc was hoping the cast would fix it if not surgery.  Dun Dun Dun

The worse injury I've had before this was riding my bike when I was in elementary school on a gravel road and doing a bad brake which resulted in me and the bike sliding across the gravel on my right side.... I still have a light scar on my elbow and knee from the skid to this day.

Walking around in crutches is like doing a marathon.  I will not make fun of handicapped people anymore. =P

I saw a handicapped parking spot with a handicap sign that read no deaf parking the other day.  Never seen one before.

So the puppy is 10 months old now and still wants to gnaw everything in site.  I think a friend told me its his molars that are probably coming out now b/c some puppies teeth twice.  The wall corners of the house w/ wood, coffee tables, cardboard boxes, and even toes aren't excluded from his gnawing escapades.  I hope this stops soon.  I bought him teething plastic bones but those don't seem to help detour  his gnawing.

So went back to the Doc on Thursday and got another x-ray.  He says my foot (the talented one which I sprained a few months ago...refer back to 3 -4 blogs ago to catch up) might need surgery.  I'm going to have to get an MRI done on it next month and after that he'll let me know what's the best course.  If surgery is needed then what they're going to do is shave the pointy bone a bit that sticks out of the side of the foot below the ankle and reroute the tendon that runs beneath it.  It sounds painful just hearing it.  Even though I sprained the ankle a few months ago that bone still hurts when I walk and running is out of the question.  What it feels like is somebody taking their thumb and pressing down on that bone w/ all their might.  Feels like that 24/7.  Mmm my first major injury and I go all out.  Talented yes I know.

For the record:  I can still kick ass w/ one foot!

F*ck! Today was not my day.  Got a speeding ticket on the way home.  The car in front of me was going only barely faster than the car to the right of me on the 5 lane highway and I was in the far left lane and needed to get to the far right lane.  So freakin blue car to my right would not speed up or slow down so that I could get over so when the car in front of me scooted up just a bit I revved my Acrua RSX and changed lanes in front of the blue car so that I could get over.  Well, little did I know that there was a cop in the 3rd lane.  As soon as I made it to the far right lane the lights were on in my rear view mirrow so I exited off the free way.  Sometimes you just know its you.  There's no use fighting it.  I just got off work so I'm still in my military uniform.  The cop pulls up behind me, asks for license and insurance card and told me he saw me accelerate in front of him and proceeds on back to his Dodge Charger.  I was able to shoot two quick texts stating that I got pulled over before he comes back.  He pointed to where I needed to sign on the ticket and told me I should take defensive driving so that it doesn't mar my license.  What the heck!  Thanks buddy.  I've never received a ticket until now so I don't know why he didn't just give me a warning!  The ticket stated I was doing a 76 in a 65 lane.  My ticket took less than 5 minutes to receive.   Atleast he didn't take his sweet time writing the ticket.  Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh  so mad!

So how good are my odds of going to court and pleading with the judge to dismiss the ticket?  I really don't want to take the 8 hours of defensive driving for Texas.  If push comes to shove I'll suck it up and take the course though.  But really, how good are my odds?????  Maybe the guy will have a moment of kidness before his shift is over and rip my ticket up??? Fat chance huh?
